Hello, I'm
Jean-Loup Caillet
Space Simulator Architect based in Toulouse, France, designing hardware-in-the-loop simulators and ground systems for small satellites. Driven by a simple philosophy: the best discoveries start with "That's funny..." — a curiosity that fuels rigorous, high-impact engineering.
/ Career
A timeline of my professional journey, roles, education, and milestones.
Ground Systems and Simulation Engineer
U-Space
Designed, implemented and developed software architecture for on-premise Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) small-satellite simulators. Provided expertise across EPS, Thermal, GNSS, GNC and RF subsystems, delivered complete platform and ground-segment simulators for satellite operations training, and supported the LEOP of multiple satellites.
Maneuver Support Engineer — SIRIUS Projects
CS for CNES
Monitored and validated flight dynamics algorithms (SIRIUS), and provided technical support for multi-satellite station keeping (MAP) and positioning (MIP). Contributed to Flight Dynamics System product validation and mission requirement trials (Multi-sat Phasing, Station Keeping, AOCS).
Flight Validation Engineer — EyeSat Nanosatellite
CNES
Contributed to the validation of flight software partitions for the EyeSat nanosatellite on an avionics test bench.
M.Sc. Space Technology & Instrumentation
University Paul Sabatier III
Graduate specialization in space systems and instrumentation, Toulouse.
M.Sc. Electronics & Signal Processing
University Grenoble Alpes
Specialty: Electric systems, Grenoble.
B.Sc. in Physics
Joseph Fourier University
Undergraduate degree in Physics, Grenoble.
